Why I Love America

I made this for a friend that went to England to get him back to the land of the free.

When did we lose track of what our flag stands for? When did we forget what it means to be an American? Who is teaching the youth of this nation to view it with such disdain? When we hear about our depressed economy or the global status of our public education system we seem to forget that people still risk life and death to start a life in the United States of America. We forget that we live in a country that allows its citizens the freedom to hate it, to protest its policies, to speak against it, and to burn its flag. The youth of this nation have never been called upon to fight for it, never feared for their lives in the face of a threatening enemy and have had that luxury paid for by those who have.

So the next time your emo kid tells you he thinks that everything would be better if he could move to England or France or whatever please exercise your right as a freedom-loving American to do as your forefathers did and punch him in his retarded head. Then remind him that the star-spangled banner in triumph STILL waves over the land of the free and the home of the brave!

It’s is in honor of this great nation that I have decided begin posting all the totally awesome, rad, American stuff I find, fast cars, hot women, big trucks, football (the real kind) explosions etc… the first being a compilation of all those things. This will be a reoccurring staple of Snowball so check back every now and then. If you don’t we will all simply assume that you’re a communist.

With all due respect (which is really quite small), the final paragraph of your blog is unnecessarily hateful.

This is one of the things that the USA needs to work though: this unnecessary feeling of superiority. So someone holds another country’s policies above another’s. Where is it your right to “punch him in the retarded face?”

In fact, it’s quite counter-arguement. Apparently you’re all for the American right to “hate [one's] country” as per your post- and yet, the final paragraph clearly shows that you do not actually support that perspective.

Unforetunately, such two-faced bull shit is uncalled for, and you kids need to get over yourselves. You can “love” your country and still recognize that other countries will do things differently.

It is not your place to decry another nation’s decisions unless they hurt a human’s rights or physical being. And frankly, that’s not the subject being discussed at hand. No, your subject is far more… base… than that.

I leave you hoping you have a good day- and next time, think before you post. Afterall, posting contrary opinions int he same blog is… assuredly embarassing.

@ A caring old friend (I know your name is actually Mike, and you run a Hate America website)

Mike - you are a complete idiot. You think it’s wrong to love your country. You are the problem, the reason for our degradation and an icon for why this country is shamed around the world. You don’t strengthen a nation by weakening it, you’re a coward, Mike.

I hope you have fun at your protests. (most people work for a living and can’t attend, you’re welcome for the tax dollars to support your futile and embarrassing parties). I hope my taxes support your silly rhetoric and I hope that in time, when (if) you grow up you will produce something of value that this country could actually benefit from.

You say it’s not this writer’s position to decry another nations decisions, yet you do it to your own because the moral people of the world find it hard to tolerate your perverted, disgusting views.

Go push your agenda elsewhere and preach to your proverbial choir of America haters. I suggest the admin of this site send your next comment to Akismet to thwart your silly propaganda spam and remove your link to punch you in your metaphoric “retarded head”, you pathetic little man.

America needs to stop feeling superior? Excuse me?? We are superior. Live with it.

People like you make it easier for actual men, because all the women in your life know you’re a complete pussy.

Chris, this is your blog and you have a right to express YOUR opinions. I don’t really see a contradiction. Think the OP read what he wanted into your post - I know exactly the type of person you were talking about - not people who want to travel and see the world but ones who think there is something so wrong with the US moving someplace else would be better. Our country is far from perfect but again one of the great things about it is we do have the right to choose to go someplace else, or even better, we have the ability to work to change things.
Yeah, your blog isn’t all that PC but likely it’s you and real and that’s better than writing something sanitized and corporate. Hope you keep writing your reasons to love America.
