Review of that vampire movie I saw. What was it called?

Oh yeah, Twilight. Before I start I should mention that I only got about half way through this movie and spent the other half in the movie theater lobby playing Time Crisis. I also have not read any related books. The plot is as follows: new girl in town meets an unusual boy at her new high school. Boy saves girl from minivan, girl falls in love with boy, boy introduces girl to family, boy shows girl his extensive music collection. All this but with vampires. That’s as far as I got.

This, needless to say, was not what I had come to expect from vampire movies. There was no violence, no blood sucking, no scary things, at least in as far as I got, and Wesley Snipes wasn’t in it. That having been said, Twilight was by no means poorly made. There was nothing particularly exceptional about it either. Some of the shots and special effects seemed little low budget  but it seemed to accomplish what it set out to do, even if it did progress little slowly. Fans of the books may or may not enjoy the film, frankly I have no idea, but if your not familiar with the series it doesn’t leave you behind which is nice.

In the scheme of things, twilight is a little dull and underwhelming but I guess it’s not too bad as far as vampire romances go. Take it or leave it. I won’t tell you not to see it if you think you would enjoy it but I’ll also never push it on anyone.
